THE SECRET SONGWRITERS CLUB
This unique project gives young female voices a positive early experience in the music industry. From co-writing songs through to performance, recording, making video clips and releasing their music. They build confidence to share their voice in the world and be heard. “We’ll get through this. We always have a choice to use our voice to express.” – SSC theme song
Founded by Melody Moon in 2024 to empower girls 8-12yrs through voice, the SSC is a mysterious collective of girls who meet weekly on the Surf Coast to express. Through their own process of tuning in to their inner voice in a safe nurturing space, supported by connection with other sensitive creatives - they alchemise life’s experiences into magical songs.
Their songs contain potent messages and reminders from their heart and become tools to help them navigate life into their teenage years and beyond. They also deeply move those who hear them to reconnect with their own hearts and true nature.
The girls’ debut collaboration album with Melody Moon ‘Songs for the Inner Child’ is out September 20th 2025. Recorded and produced by Melody at her home studio in Deans Marsh Victoria.
“When I feel confused and don’t know what to do, I listen deep inside me and my instincts guide me.” – SSC song
“When the world feels heavy just close your eyes. Turn yourself into a bird and take a look from the skies.” – SSC song
"Thankyou for creating such a beautiful, calm and creative space for our girls. My two daughters left yesterday feeling so inspired and loved. They went home and created their own songs and shared them with our family in front of the fire at home."
– Josephine Mary, Torquay
"It is a phenomenal thing you are doing for our daughters and the world."
“She came out glowing. She felt so safe and nurtured as well. I can’t wait to see what else they express and create. Thank you.”
“Thank you so much for creating and holding such a sacred space for our girls. How special to make their ideas into songs to empower and then the opportunity to perform and share them showing the girls that their voice matters.”
