My Music

music with nature

Melody Moon is a Surf Coast Victorian songwriter, recording artist, producer and performer. Her love of nature and wellbeing have shaped her creative evolution thus far. From folk to mantra to entwining local nature samples into pop beats, she explores new territory with each release as she creatively champions a re-connection with our own true nature along the way.

Back in 2011 when she released her first self-recorded EP ‘Little Hopes’, her song ‘Out of the City’ hit the top 10 on the Amrap AirIt Charts, being among the most played on community radio in Australia. She set off in her kombi touring the East Coast being a welcomed guest on radio shows and performing at festivals, cosy venues and high vibed events. “Just Wonderful.” – Sophie Longden, ABC Radio NSW

Her songs have been used on campaigns for Environment Victoria and in Wadawurrung women in surfing film Delama Warri.

Nearly 15 years and 6 music releases later, with multiple music diplomas in the mix, Melody’s quest to keep growing her skills and impact through music continues. Her wish is to use all the super powers she has gathered to empower girls and women’s voices.

Her latest project founded in 2024 is the Secret Songwriters Club (SSC). A creative cauldron of preteen girls 8-12yrs, Melody provides a positive early experience in the music industry with an encouraging space to build confidence in true expression, song writing, recording and having their voices heard in the world.

Melody is recording and producing their debut album ‘Songs for the Inner Child’ set to be released in September 2025. It’s filled with inspiring life insights, heartfelt voices and of course some local thunderstorms and bird calls in there too.

"I love having Melody Moon play at Folk Rhythm and Life Festival because she really captures a mood and a vibe that’s perfect, and it brings peace, harmony and love to the audience.”
